FAQ

1. What exactly is an independent dispatcher?

An independent dispatcher dispatches loads for Owner Operators and Carriers. They work with brokers and shippers who need to transport freight.

2. Why should I hire a dispatcher when I can book my own loads?

Dispatchers are trained to find/negotiate the best rates for carriers and drivers. They study/analyze current market trends and book the most profitable loads for you or your company.

3. What is a dispatch/carrier package?

The dispatch/ carrier package is an agreement between the independent dispatcher and the carrier. The package outlines terms and conditions for both parties. It must be completed before loads can be booked.

4. How do I get paid?

The broker or shipper will pay you directly once the BOL (Bill of Lading) has been signed with the POD (proof of delivery). Alternatively, a factoring company can also pay you if you are set up with a factoring company.
